Why should I visit my local pharmacy?

All pharmacists train for at least 5 years in the use of medicines.

Help us to free up GP appointments for people with more complex health needs and ensure that everyone gets treated at the right time, by the right healthcare professional by contacting your local Pharmacist for minor health concerns such as colds, sore throats, tummy trouble and aches and pains.

They know when to refer you to another health care professional or doctor if you need to see one.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.

 Pharmacies often offer extended opening hours in the evenings and at weekends.
