Self-referral into physiotherapy

You can now self refer into physiotherapy without having to see a GP first.,  you must be over 16 years old. See "Self Referral into Physiotherapy" under Further Information for the link to the referral site.

If you have an urgent medical problem which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens please phone our out of hours service by dialing: 111.  Your call will be triaged and you may be given an appointment with the out of hours doctor who is based at Oak Lane Surgery (6 Oak Lane) in Twickenham or you may be directed to the Teddington Urgent Care Centre  at Teddington Memorial Hospital.

If you just require general medical advice or to make an appointment with a GP at one our GP Hubs please call NHS111 by dialing: 111.  Hub GPs are located at Teddington Memorial Hospital and Sheen Lane Surgery in Sheen. 

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

  • You may either order your prescription on-line patient-services.co.uk by using the tear off strip on your previous prescription or in writing to the surgery.
  • Our receptionists have been instructed by the GP's not to take requests for prescriptions over the phone,  Please do not be offended if they refuse to do so, they are following doctor's instructions. 
  • Please allow three (3) working days (excluding weekends & bank holidays)  for your request to be processed. 
  • Please order in plenty of time especially if there are bank holidays coming up or you are going away on holiday.

DR PENNY SOWDEN

Dr Sowden is currently on extended sick leave. She is recovering from surgery and will be away for several months. If you usually see Dr Sowden any of our other doctors will be happy to look after you during her absence.

Once you have registered & have your user name & password you will be able to book an appointment to see a doctor, cancel an appointment & order repeat prescriptions online via the 'links' at the bottom of the Home Page.

Please ask reception for further details and an application form. Our PPG meets quarterly and you can read their annual report below which gives details of our survey results, action plan & future commitments. Dr Penny Sowden (f)

BMedSci BMBS D(Obst)RCOG MRCGP DFSRH

Dr Sowden qualified from Nottingham Medical School in 1987.  She has been a partner at the practice for over 25 years. Dr Sowden has broad medical interests, but a specialist interest in obstetric medicine and family planning.  She is able to fit coils, contraceptive implants and diaphragms.

Dr Chanyoung Kang (m)

BSc(Hons) MBBS MRCGP

Dr Kang qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2009. He worked as a GP in Surrey before joining Richmond Lock Surgery as a partner in 2016. Dr Kang is able to perform joint injections and minor surgery procedures.

Dr Sophie Harris (f)

Dr Adrian Brown (m)

MBChB MA DRCOG MRCGP

Dr Brown qualified from Manchester University in 1988. He has been a GP at the practice for many years. Dr Brown works in the surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dr Murali Sivanandan (m)

BSc(Hons) MBBS DOHNS DRCOG nMRCGP eMBA

Dr Sivanandan graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2001. His specialist interests include General Surgery and Ears Nose & Throat. 

Dr Lisa Wray (f)

MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH PgDip MSM

Dr Wray qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2004. She did her GP training at St Mary's Paddington and in Notting Hill. Dr Wray later became a GP partner in Bayswater for 7 years but has relocated locally to bring up a young family. She works in the surgery on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dr Jennifer Allen (f)

Dr Allen is working with us as a long-term locum GP. She was initially covering Dr Harris' maternity leave and is now covering Dr Sowden's sick leave.
